PJP have extensive experience of project management and team collaboration working across a range of projects, ensuring we provide an exemplary service to our clients and to those who work alongside us.
We have been working towards becoming fully BIM and Government Soft Landings (GSL) compliant for the past 3 years, and achieved the necessary skills to implement BIM Level 2 (PAS 1192) in October 2014. As part of this drive we have adopted Autodesk Revit and completed full certified training for all our CAD technicians/architects. This took the form of formal training for each individual in addition to a full hardware/software upgrade to effectively run the Revit package. In addition, our Senior Project Architects have also completed BIM Strategy/Awareness training, enabling us to undertake the amendment to internal QMS to fully adopt a BIM strategy for all types of project, an integrate it within our company culture and business plan.
Internally, our procedures and outputs are managed by Cubeitect, which forms a ‘coat-hanger’ for our entire QMS system for document filing, retrieval, storage and recording. All items from drawings, e-mail, minutes, certification and staff profiles, timesheets, job costing and contract database are logged into and accessed via Cubeitect. Our in-house I.T. Manager, Gareth Reece, manages the system. This system helps with our information sharing/communication both in-house and externally. We also utilise on-line cloud storage to enable full integrated I.T. sharing with our clients and other consultants/contractors. We have successfully completed a £27m high rise tower block refurbishment project (November 2013) for Magenta Living, successfully utilising these information sharing techniques.
Our BIM Strategy states that we will be in a position to offer full BIM (GSL) Level 2 (PAS 1192-2) by 2016, in reality we can offer this now. We have achieved this by employing an external specialist to manage and organise our transfer, and as a result of this we have now adopted BIM as the default starting point on all projects – the rest depends on how far our clients wish to take it – and this is determined on inception of projects through a joint BIM Action Plan. As part of our service, we can advise and guide our clients through this process.
