High Rise Refurbishment Programme

We acted as single point consultancy service for the delivery of a 32m high rise refurbishment programme. The scheme included 7 high rise blocks, all of which were fully occupied, and covered all matters relating to decency upgrades, communal areas and external fabric.

Whilst only recently completed, the project has already achieved success, with awards being received for the first 3 blocks in the programme:-

  • 2012 – Best Tenant Liaison Programme at Housing Excellence awards
  • 2012 – Client Investment Programme of the Year @ Builder & Engineering Awards
  • 2012 – H&S awareness and response at the Housing Excellence Awards

The tenant liaison programme was both extensive and involved. We worked alongside Magenta Living both in supporting the QA sessions and in leading presentations for tenant selection, communal fit outs, external design etc.

We found the work very rewarding and learned a lot working alongside housing officers and the TLO’s. We felt understanding their roles and challenges informed us greatly.

The tenant satisfaction surveys on the completed blocks stands at 98.3%.

The design creativity and ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team demonstrated by Paddock Johnson Partnership architects were key ingredients in the successful delivery of our £32M high rise investment programme in Wirral. The vision and commitment of Paddock Johnson Partnership staff enabled us to transform eight high rise blocks into modern apartment buildings that delighted our existing tenants and ensure that they meet the expectations of future residents.
