Paddock Johnson were commissioned for the redevelopment of Blackstone Field in the Offerton area of Stockport to provide a mixed use community focused scheme. This is part of a larger scheme which PJP were responsible for the overall masterplan that included remediation and redevelopment of adjacent sites for housing and recreation.
The development comprises 4 main buildings the first being a community centre with multi sports hall and outdoor football pitches, library, community halls, gymnasium and refreshments area. It also includes a multiple practice medical centre with shared treatment and administrative facilities and associated pharmacy as well as a local convenience store. Two schemes for residential care for older people are incorporated, one specifically including Stirling standard dementia care with day accommodation.
