Paddock Johnson were the architects for this development of 40 very sheltered apartments and communal facilities, in the heart of the Port Sunlight Village Conservation Area.

For the development to sit comfortably contextually we followed the design requirement William Lever instilled upon his architects, circa 1900, “housing to be in short terraces, ‘but’ no two terraces the same’ allowing us to indulge in Levers love of vernacular styles.

The development was awarded the Best Retirement Development at the Brittannia National Homebuilder Design Awards ceremony in 2001.
