Ellesmere Wharf is a mixed-use scheme alongside the Shropshire Union Canal Llangollen Branch in Ellesmere, Shropshire. The site contains an original listed brick warehouse, which will be refurbished as part of the scheme and converted into a retail until to secure the buildings future.
The proposals seek to bring back into use a well-located and sustainable brownfield site, to provide essential housing and community uses within the existing town boundary.
The site will include 59 retirement living apartments for Housing 21, 8 houses and a fully refurbished listed wharf building to provide a local bar/restaurant.
The project has been designed to reflect the history of the site with references to the many warehouses which once lined the canal.
