This scheme of two semi-detached residential villas are characterized by simplicity of geometric forms and uncluttered appearance, complimenting the existing scenic locale. The elevation design is dictated by simplicity, symmetry, and grandeur. The scale of the site, similarly to its neighbouring properties, allows for the building to have strong, monolithic presence.
The proposal integrates the existing natural features and utilizes them into creating a natural entrance to the site, providing views in and out of the site whilst also containing a large sense of privacy. The proposed design revolves entirely around the identity and characteristics of the area creating a distinctive building with strong presence and identity.
The proposal takes inspiration from the nearby patterns and features, appropriately blending elements of these into the design of the new residency. Through the implementation of the common features in terms of pitched roofs, windows shapes and materials, an Arts and Crafts approach been applied.
